Hosted by Bill Winter, GuitarGuitar! is a program being developed for network cable. It’s a hobbyist show with a format much like the many Gardening or Home Remodeling shows on the air.

Unlike any other, however, this show celebrates the Guitar as America’s favorite musical instrument, it’s great players and makers, guitar techs and sound technicians, amp makers, innovators and of course, the guitars themselves.

The show is designed for the non-professional musician as well as the fans of great guitarists. Inside and backstage perspectives as well as practical and useful guitar-related information will be the focus of the show.

The show GuitarGuitar! will highlight major guitar genres of Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock and Classic as demographics dictate, but will also spend significant time on Bluegrass and Fingerstyle, Folk styles, Slide, Hawaiian Slack Key, etc.

The show will be shot primarily on location at specific events (award shows, concerts etc.) or at specific locations (McCabe’s guitar shop, Gibson’s custom shop, Beale Street etc.). Event shows will be primarily concerned with guitar- related aspects of pre-show and backstage preparations as well as interviews.

The performance will not be the primary interest of the show. Interviews will include but not be limited to talent. In fact the overall number of interviews will be comprised mostly of non-celebrity professionals in guitar related fields, (guitar techs, luthiers, engineers, producers etc.).

GuitarGuitar! will cover Apalachian folksongs and Delta blues, singing cowboys and hawaiian steel guitar. It’s America’s TV show for America’s musical sweetheart: the guitar.
